Jennifer McCoy, Pharm.D, Pharmacist-In-Charge/Compounding Pharmacist - Cape Girardeau
My name is Jennifer Parker McCoy. I was born and raised in Sikeston, MO. I was involved in girl scouts, swim team, cheerleading, church activities and school activities (Red Peppers pep club, choir, and other clubs).
I am a third generation pharmacist. My grandfather Archie Parker served over fifty years as a pharmacist. He worked in Essex, Dexter and Sikeston. His father was a pharmacist in Essex too. I grew up visiting my grandfather's family owned pharmacy in Dexter. His caring attitude for others helped me in my decision to become a pharmacist.
I went to pharmacy school at the University of MIssouri-Kansas City and graduated in 2004. I loved the time that I spent there getting an education, working and visiting new places. My husband Jamie is also from Sikeston so we decided to move back closer to home near both families. We have two children, Elizabeth and William, and a black Labrador puppy name Bailey.
My work experience has included retail (CVS, Walgreens), Costco Wholesale and independent (Thriftway Drugs which became MediCenter Pharmacy). In 2013, my husband and I along with our business partner Don Schreiber, opened the MediCenter Pharmacy in Cape Girardeau. We wanted to duplicate the wonderful services that were available at the MediCenter Pharmacy in Jackson. It has been challenging and exciting. We have a great staff, wonderful customers and learn new things every day. We also were able to add compounding to our list of services. Through compounding, we are able to help so many people to have access to individualized medication. I feel so blessed to serve my customers through MediCenter Pharmacy.
Christina Hart, Pharm.D, Pharmacist-In-Charge – Jackson
I was born and raised in Jackson, Missouri. After my high school graduation I attended Southeast Missouri State University where I graduated in 2000 with two Bachelors’ degrees in Biology and Spanish.
While attending SEMO, in 1998, I began working for Darrell Hanschen, the owner and pharmacist of MediCap in Jackson. I then fell in love with the atmosphere, patients and helping others daily at the pharmacy. Seeing my passion for pharmacy and the community, Darrell suggested I attend pharmacy school. After some thought, it seemed like a perfect fit and I decided to go back to school.
I graduated from University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 2005 with my Doctorate in Pharmacy. I then moved back to Jackson with my husband John. We have a daughter, Rylee, and one dog. I’m proud to still call Jackson my home and look forward to serving our community daily through my work at the pharmacy.
Heather Weber, Pharm.D, Pharmacist – Jackson
My name is Heather Deneke Weber. I am originally from Gordonville, MO and attended Jackson schools. I was involved in band and choir in high school, and was also very active in my church, Zion United Methodist of Gordonville. As a teenager, I volunteered at St. Francis Medical Center and was asked to work in the pharmacy. At the time, I was unsure of this placement, but after a few weeks I was convinced of my career path.
After graduation, I attended the University of Mississippi for my pre-pharmacy curriculum. I later transferred to the University of Tennessee - Memphis College of Pharmacy for my professional training. I received my Doctor of Pharmacy in 1999 with the intention of working in the retail pharmacy setting. I love working in the hometown pharmacy where I am able to know my customers and am accessible to them when they need me. I enjoy working at MediCenter - Jackson for this very reason.
I am married to Shawn Weber, another Jackson native, and we have two children, Madalyn and Dylan. Madalyn is very involved in dance and music at Jackson. Dylan is in the Boy Scouts and plays the piano. When we are able, we love to travel together. We enjoy amusement parks, museums and the beach. We attend LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape where we are active in serving in the children's ministry.
I am happy to be able to work in my hometown and am blessed to work at MediCenter -Jackson.
Staci Eastin, R.Ph, Pharmacist – Jackson
My name is Staci Eastin and I grew up in a small town in Southern, Illinois, Fairfield. I moved to Jackson in 1997 with my husband and immediately, it felt like home, as we both were from small communities.
Prior to moving to Jackson, I attended pharmacy school at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1995. In 1997 I began work at Young's Thriftway, Jones Drug Store and Twin City Pharmacy. I also worked as a freelance writer, most recently for a medical communications company that developed continuing education materials for medical professionals. However, my very first job while in high school was at my hometown pharmacy in Fairfield, IL.
I am married to Todd Eastin and we have three teenagers. I love to read and usually have more than one book going at time. My husband and I also serve in our church's youth ministry. I am blessed to be able serve my adopted hometown as a pharmacist and assist people in understanding their health and medication so that their experience is better, which I find rewarding.
